Please Dress Modestly: We kindly remind you to dress modestly when you come to church. It is God’s House after all and we  should give it our utmost respect. Dress as if you were going to see

the most important person in your life. If possible,  no shorts, miniskirts, sleeveless dresses or

T-shirts. Thanks for your consideration of this reminder.

Lent Guidelines  2010

 

Our Lent begin this year with Ash Monday on February 15th and Ash Wednesday on February 17th.  Divine Liturgies for Ash Monday will be @ 6:30 PM and For Ash Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

Of course you are encouraged to also fast and to other kinds of penance on the other days during

Lent especially Fridays. There are plenty of works of charity and you can help by doing your share

of compassion and mercy. Most important, instead of Giving Up….Make Up!!!  Have a Blessed Lent.

 

Confession during Lent

You are encouraged to approach the sacrament of reconciliation during the season of Lent. 

Father will be available every Saturdays 4:00 PM to 5:00PM before the Liturgies. 

 

Please Parents - Due to our long liturgy please remember that children may have a hard time sitting still. If they are having a hard time,  please do not forget to take them into the chapel or the lobby for some breathing room. Parishioners are complaining about the  disruption this is causing during Mass.

 

Eparchial Appeal

 

We will be conducting the Annual Eparchial (Diocesan) Appeal during this Lent.  We all have been entrusted with the preservation and proclamation of our Catholic Faith.  You will receive a mailing

for this Annual Development Appeal containing  a brochure and gift card.  Please review the many projects, ministries, vocations, and missions now supported by this appeal. 

 

Our quota to the diocese is $6,500.00   We have to pay this amount whether we raised it or not.  Please support our diocese and its mission of supporting all the missions that it has. 

 

A reminder that Lent starts early this year in Mid-February. Fr. Assaad will be having the stations of the cross every Friday @6:30pm during Lent.
